Flying to Assisi
The closest airport to Assisi is the airport of Perugia, S. Egidio. The S. Egidio airport is connected to Milano Malpensa, to Bruxelles Charleroi (with Ryanair), and to London Stansted (with Ryanair).
The best choice to reach Assisi is to fly to Rome Fiumicino (airport Leonardo Da Vinci). Other possible airports are the airport of Firenze (airport Amerigo Vespucci) and Pisa (airport Galileo Galilei).

From S. Egidio to Assisi
Although the S. Egidio airport is very close to Assisi, there is no direct connection between the airport and Assisi. There are bus connection from the airport to Perugia and from Perugia to Assisi.

From Roma Fiumicino to Assisi
There are bus connection from the Rome Fiumicino airport to Perugia (some of these buses reach directly Assisi). Assisi can also be reached by train. There are trains from Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina to Perugia and to Assisi (in some cases you must change in Foligno).
