Location Details

The location of the EuroCg 2003 is the University of Bonn, Building AVZ III at Römerstrasse 164 in the northern part of Bonn. The building is called, like the bus stop in front of the door, 'Pädagogische Fakultät' (Pedagogic Faculty), according to its former use. Looking north we are at the left side of the river Rhine, close to the northern highway bridge 'Friedrich-Ebert-Bridge'.

The detailed map of the campus given here is provided by the Web service of the Institute of Computer Science, University of Bonn.

By Plane

The closest international airport is Cologne/Bonn CGN. From there you can travel by airport bus no. 670 to the bus terminal at the main station ('Hauptbahnhof') Bonn.
Maybe it is more comfortable for you to take a plane to Düsseldorf DUS or Frankfurt/Main FRA and then go on by train (Deutsche Bahn AG) in a about 1 - 2 hours to main station ('Hauptbahnhof') Bonn.

From the bus terminal in front of the main station you can take bus no. 638 in direction 'Graurheindorf' (NOT: direction 'Brüser Berg') or bus no. 551 in direction 'Troisdorf Bf'. In both cases alight at the stop 'Pädagogische Fakultät'. Timetables are available from the regional combined transport authority VRS (in German only) or maybe better again from the extended travel information service of the Deutsche Bahn AG.
A survey on the relevant bus routes is provided by the Institute of Computer Sciences here.

By Train

Get off the train at main station ('Hauptbahnhof') Bonn. Timetables can be requested with the travel planner of the German railway company 'Deutsche Bahn AG'.
After leaving the train station turn right and you will find the central bus terminal close by. Bus no. 638 in direction 'Graurheindorf' (NOT: direction 'Brüser Berg') or bus no. 551 in direction 'Troisdorf Bf' will bring you to the workshop location.

By Car

If you travel by car to Bonn stay on the highways until you reach exit 'Auerberg' of the highway A565.
After leaving the highway turn left (coming from the east, crossing the Rhine) or right (coming from the west) into 'Graurheindorfer Strasse' towards downtown in southern direction. At the first T-junction (traffic lights) turn left into 'Husarenstrasse' and follow it until the next traffic lights. Turn left into 'Römerstrasse' and, after about 400 meters, the large building of the institute lays at right hand (pedestrian traffic lights in front of the building).
Free parking slots are available in the underground car park behind the building. To get there keep going straight ahead, turn right into 'Eduard-Spoelgen-Strasse'.
This description, more detailed and maps included, is provided here by the Web service of the Institute of Computer Science.
