General Information

The European Workshop on Computational Geometry will be held in 1999 at the Palais des Congrès, Antibes Juan-Les-Pins, France.

The goal of the workshop is to bring together the researchers in Computational Geometry, facilitating -through an informal scheme- the diffusion of their most recent work.

No proceedings will be published but the abstracts will be collected and distributed among the participants at the workshop. A Special Issue of an international journal might be devoted to selected papers from contributions presented at the conference.

Important dates:

CG'98: the 14th European Workshop on Computational Geometry was organized in 1998 by the UPC Research Group in Computational Geometry, a Research group of the Departament de Matemàtica Aplicada II of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
CG'97: the 13th European Workshop on Computational Geometry was held in Würzburg in 1997.

Call for papers

Program

We will have invited talks and paper presentations. If you wish to present a paper, follow instructions in the next paragraph.

Invited speakers:

The full program will be available from this page shortly after, on January 25th, 1999. Please bookmark and check this page.

Participation

All interested people are welcome, even if they do not intend to give a talk. Participants are encouraged to give a 20 minutes presentation of their work.
A preliminary title and a brief abstract (1-3 pages) should be submitted (either PS files by email to cg99@sophia.inria.fr or camera-ready papers by regular mail to the address below) before January 15th, 1999.
The workshop language will be English. If the number of presentations is too large, a selection will be made by the organizers. No proceeding will be published but the abstracts will be collected and distributed among the participants at the Workshop.

Venue information

Antibes is located on the French Riviera , close to Nice, Monaco, and Italy, and displays usually an excellent weather in March. The hotel is conveniently located within a walk from the Juan-Les-Pins train station, and well connected to the Nice airport and the railroad network. You don't need a car to come to the conference or to go to Nice, but if you want to also visit the gorgeous back-country and the southearn French Alps, you can do that easily from the Nice airport.

Detailed information

We give a few pointers to WWW resources about the area, and to practical information.
