EURO CG 2000       FINANCIAL SUPPORT

16TH EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL GEOMETRY

The Sixteenth European Workshop on Computational Geometry will be held in Eilat Club Hotel, Eilat, Israel, between the dates 13-15 of March, year 2000. The European Workshop on Computational Geometry is an important scientific event in which established researchers from academia and industry, and research students and postdocs meet and present their current work. It is hoped that the meeting   will establish a scientific interaction and international collaboration. This year the workshop is generously supported by The European Commission and by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The goal of this support is to enable young scientists to participate in the workshop.

Who should apply?  We encourage PhD students and postdocts, whose research area in in Computational Geometry and related topics but cannot afford to come to the meeting, to apply for support for travelling from Europe to Israel and maintenance expenses in Israel.

What's needed for the application? We would like to get a list of publications (journal or conference) in CG (co-)authored by the applicant, or a pointer to an accepted paper to EURO-CG2000. We will need a faxed (printed) recommendation letter from the applicant's advisor, on the applicant's institute letter paper,  saying that the research (PhD thesis) of the applicant is in this area. If the applicant has not published a paper yet he may just send the recommendation letter.
